How Demo Mode Works
Role-based filtering. The demo role sees only the demo location and BBQ. Regular users see only real locations. Admins see everything.
Payment skipped. Demo bookings bypass Stripe entirely — no real charge is made.
Hardware skipped. Demo orders do not send activation commands to Particle devices, so no physical BBQ is needed.
Photos required, AI skipped. Checkout requires pictures as proof of use, but AI verification is disabled for demo orders.
Clean teardown. Clicking "Remove Demo Mode" permanently deletes the demo account, the demo location, the demo BBQ, and all orders, transactions, plate bookings, and notifications generated by that account.
